Spread the love

You’ve probably read a few posts here on my page, championing the millennial generation and speaking to the valuable contributions to society we’ve produced. I’ve spoken extensively about the fact that television cameras only point at the liberal rallies at universities, and countless news stories about kids eating tide pods. The Fake News Media, as we all know, has a tendency to aim their cameras at the worst of every group of people. They intentionally misrepresent christians, blacks, whites, the rah and poor, and even the youth.

So in today’s article, I want to look at what PEW Research Center has to say about the millennial generation, as well as corresponding climates which would lead people to believe “Millennials are Stupid.”

Let me begin by saying, Millennials aren’t stupid, which is statistically accurate. However, they are incredibly misguided. PEW Research Center ran an analysis of 1968, 1982, 1989, 2001 and 2018 regarding recent generations and their accomplished levels of education.

The 1962 Analyst was in respect to the “Silent Generation,” Where they found that around 30% of the generation had less than a high school education, 43% graduated high school, 13% had some college education, and 15% had a bachelors degree or higher.

The tend continues upward through the Boomers, Gen X, and into the Millennial Generation.

-Boomers
Less than HS Grad: 13-14%
High School Grad: 40-41%
Some College: 21%
Bachelors Degree or higher: 24-25%

-Gen X
Less than HS Grad: 13%
High School Grad: 30%
Some College: 28%
Bachelors Degree or higher: 29%

As we can see, throughout the generations, the number of people finalizing their education after high school has one down, and the continuation of education into college has gone up. This trend actually not only continued into the Millennial Generation, but also the largest increase of bachelors degrees since the Silent Generation & the Boomers.

Amongst Millennials, only 8% have less than a High school education, 25% finished their pursuit of education with a high school diploma, 28% attended some college, and 39% have a Bachelors Degree or higher. Statistically speaking, Millennials are not even close to the “Dumbest Generation.” Most entitled? Maybe, but it’s vastly inaccurate to consider us “stupid.” We have a much higher level of education accomplished in comparison to any living generation. So why does it seem like we’re stupid, when lost have of us have a Bachelors Degree or higher?

Part II: Universities are Propaganda Machines.

If Millennials are the most educated generation, then why are we so foolish? There’s definitely a lot of truth to the fact that college degrees don’t necessarily play a factor in “smarts.” There is a major different between “Knowledge” & “Wisdom,” as well as a vast chasm between the two. We know the two as “Book Smarts,” and “Street Smarts.”

College education isn’t synonymous to knowledge because you can’t properly gauge knowledge based off of a standardized system. Albert Einstein once said, “Everybody is smart, but if you judge a fish off of its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it’s stupid.”

People are smart in different ways, most mechanics can’t program a computer or write a book. Likewise, many authors struggle to even change the oil in their car. A leading scientist may have discovered a microscopic living organism, but doesn’t have a sense of rhythm and would be a disastrous drummer, let alone be able to master Pachelbel’s Cannon in D. The point is, Einstein was right.. big surprise, I know. However, this is all leading to the overall point, the universities don’t teach wisdom, in fact, they seem to be teaching the opposite.

Why are Universities so liberal? The sad reality is, liberal faculty outnumber conservatives at least 5 to 1 in the policy-related social science and humanities fields. The leftist mentality has began to revolve around bullying tactics as the media has convinced them that opposing ideologies are hateful and bigoted. When you’re convinced you’re fighting evil, you naturally turn up the fire.

The Left has become more and more hostile, causing universities to fear backlash by silencing conservative voices. I’m writing this from Phoenix, Arizona. Possibly one of the most Right-wing cities in the U.S., which is home to Grand Canyon University (GCU) which is an openly Christian Educator. However, earlier this year GCU denied Ben Shapiro from seeking on the campus. Clearly, they were afraid of liberal backlash, but quite the opposite happened.

Phoenix stood up. There was an uproar by the conservative population in Arizona. GCU couldn’t even run an add on Facebook without a red wave demanding Shapiro’s entry. Which is exactly what we should have done, and it’s exactly what we should be doing around the country.

The reason to this isn’t because we want to fight with the left, the reason this is important, is because Millennials are being educated, but they are far from wise. Liberal Agendas have proven over the last decade to be detrimental to this generation and its ability to navigate through political policies and understand the outcome. This is exactly why we’re seeing a favoritism towards socialism from the left. School is all about what’s on paper, and we have to admit, that socialism looks good on paper. In theory, it sounds like a great idea. The problem is, its destroyed countries left and right, and quickly evolved into communism as a bandage. Its result is ultimate power in the hands of the government, which predominantly carries blood spilling ramifications.

Millennials are learning what they’re being taught better than any other generation. Which is why I’m a major advocate for the Bible being taught in schools without the ACLU waging war against the districts. The problem isn’t Millennials not learning, the problem is WHAT their learning. It’s about the content taught in the Public School System in America. Which leads me back to what I said in the beginning, Millennials aren’t stupid, they’re simply misguided. They have an ability to learn unlike any other generation, but what they’re being fed is destructive.
